Fashioncamp brings together the mainstream fashion community, the indie fashion community, and the next wave of wearable technologists to explore this question through workshops, presentations, and collaboration. Fashion Camp is a two-day open conference in NYC around Fashion Week. The second Fashion Camp will be on February 20th and 21st, 2010 at Parsons School of Design.
Fashion Camp is the first large event to bring together the mainstream fashion community, independent fashion community, and the fashion technology communities to share, discuss and explore the intersection of fashion and technology. Over two days, fashion professionals, designers, innovators and fashion-lovers will meet, share, teach and converse about the future of fashion.
FashionCamp is planned as a “Barcamp” or “unconference,” which means its a free, participant-driven conference born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. Discussions, demos and open participatory workshops are attended—-and run!-—by the participants. The event doesn’t cost any money, but everyone contributes: all attendees must give a demo, a session, or help with one.
