UK high street retail chain Republic has released an iPod jacket in a cool looking Bomber jacket style constructed with metallic yarn to give it a unique crinkled appearance.
The iPod Bomber jacket is part of the Crafted branded collection by Republic and designed for the urban streetwear market. The iPod keypad controller is built into the sleeve with a dedicated iPod pocket located on the jackets inside.
The attention to detail and the deconstructed style gives this jacket an effortlessly stylish look.
The jacket uses Fibretronic’s integrated audio control technology called ‘ConnectedWear‘, a modular wearable technology we should see more products coming up soon.
We got word from Fibretronic Watch out, if you have the iPod touch or iPhone, it will not work with the Crafted iPod Jacket works with all iPod models including the iPod touch and iPhones (see also details on Republic’s product page are not correct!). The Jacket is machine washable, non-waterproof parts can be detached before washing.

My favorite T-Shirt brand Music and Sons added a new dimension to their Music T-Shirt range: consumer can vote on their site which of the many Music T-Shirt designs should make it to a final product into the online store.
Cool idea to be involved in the final product selection, a kind of interactivity and involvement more companies could offer as well.
My voting is out and I am checking now to see if I will find my favorite designs in the shop, need to stock up for the coming summer season.
The selection is not like the ID concept where you can mix and match colors and printing. I think it is better that way, who else than Italian fashion designer create the worlds most famous outfits. The only problem with this: I like them ALL.
The simple solution of the Music T-Shirts, integrating permanently the headphone cable in the T-Shirt with the audio connector in the pocket and the headphone connector near the neck takes out the acrobatic cable management many people perform before heading out on the street.
I keep looking around for something similar useful but haven’t found any better solution that is as convenient to manage the headphone cable.
The Music T-Shirts are made of high quality textile material, have a excellent cut for the the perfect fit and are finished by hand in Italy.
