Glowing Purse

glowing_purse.jpgAlfonso Merry del Vall, Key Portilla-Kawamura and Ali Ganjavian Afshar, three young designers based in Spain, created the Glowing Purse because their research showed that European women spend an average of 14,3 hours per year looking for objects in their hand bags.

I think not only European women, it’s a fact of women’s life everywhere. 14 hours is a lot in our fast moving world.

The concept of light inside a purse or bag is not new neither is the technology involved ‘rocket science’ like micro-LEDs integrated in the inner fabric connected to a switch.

What makes me wonder is why such light purses are hard to find on the market. The practicality is obvious, the cost to integrate is minimal and still, even high end LV or Gucci, Fendi and Prada are lacking of such simple feature.

If you want to save those 14 hours to do something more useful, have a look at the Partesi business bag or Solas range of Clutches with interior lighting.
