Maker Faire and Lynne Bruning come again together to create a fashion show that fuses tech and fashion, function and form, reality and possibility.
Lynne Bruning, creator of exclusive wearable art with a special interest in eTextiles is producing eTextile fashion shows as part of the upcoming Maker Faire in Detroit and NYC where fashion designers, engineers and makers will join forces to present ‘eTextile: a smart clothing and wearable computing fashion show‘.
We have posted about the eTextile Fashion show last month at the 2010 Maker Faire Bay Area, an event that attracted Creators and Makers among the DIY community who experiment with the possibilities the fusion of technology and textiles have to offer.
The Detroit Maker Faire will take place between July 31 and August 1, 2010 at The Henry Ford
The 1st Annual World Maker Faire New York will be held from September 25 to 26, 2010 at the New York Hall of Science.
For both events Lynne will be the producer of the ‘eTextile: a smart clothing and wearable computing fashion show’. You can contact her via email: email@example.com or by phone 720-272-0956 to register your design for presentation.
Alexa Smith at artfuture.com just released on YouTube the interview she did with Lynne during the Maker Faire Bay Area event. Lynne shares her how much and how deep she is rooted in both worlds, the inherited textile expertise from her family background and her technical educational background.
An interesting, fascinating and inspiring story I highly recommend to watch.
