Ecko Unlimited Audio Hoodie

New York urban brand, Ecko Unlimited, has joined the growing fashion segment technology enabled clothing by introducing to their fall/winter 09 clothing range the Audio Hoodie.

The Audio Hoodie uses Fibretronic’s CONNECTEDwear keypad controller integrated in the sleeve and comes with the iPod control module but it is compatible with the full range of CONNECTEDwear electronic modules.

With apparel brands coming out more frequently with electronic device interaction capability, the choices are growing enormously. I remember having discussions just a few short years ago where people told me technology enabled clothing will never become reality because nobody wants to wear the same shirt, jacket, hoodie – because the assumption at that time was only very few apparel brands will have only very limited collection on technology enhanced clothing.

A few years later with more experience of technology integration into garments and the cost of this technology coming down, this type of clothing is becoming fast another, widely available option for the fashion shopper.
