Urban Tool grooveRider T-Shirt now available in the US

Finally: URBAN TOOL announces North American availability of their latest product, the grooveRider T-Shirt.

grooverider_up.jpgThe ‘official’ introduction will be at SGMA Spring Market 2007 in Las Vegas which runs from June 11-13.

The URBAN TOOL grooveRider is a lightweight, moisture wicking T-shirt that integrates Apple iPods with a smart fabric interface. The shirt also offers cable management features for headphones.

The grooveRider was designed in conjunction with Eleksen, the creator of a unique electro-conductive fabric touch pad. The T-shirt uses Eleksen’s smart fabric technology and allows the complete control over many functions of the iPod, including On/Off, play, pause, track changes and volume. The 5-button switch sensor does not require any batteries and supports most iPod models, allowing for quick and easy access to tunes.

“The grooveRider makes exercise with an iPod a completely new experience. Both the iPod and the headphone cable are secured inside the shirt. Adjusting volume and track settings when cycling, running, roller blading or while at the gym does not get any easier than this.” Says Stephen Seal, President of Sealtex, URBAN TOOL’s North American Distributor. The grooveRider is fully “Made-for-iPod” compliant and is available in both male and female designs. List price for this innovative new fashion item is US$169.99
